2012, Series of 15 photographs, framed archival pigment print, 44 cm x 35 cm each
Objects from the series Aalto Objects belongs to Alvar Aalto Home museum. Kina explores the museum as a living space. The idea of home as a museum, as a kind of reconstruction of one’s life, which combines the public and private. The museum is in a constant state of change and is built of different historical layers: original objects that belong to that house, objects that are donated to the museum and the objects that are related to museum activity. Photography and museum are both tools to collect and produce collective memory. The work creates its own archive, a new collection of objects that ones belonged to architect Alvar Aalto.
